Our story
About Camperdown Tennis
A multi-sport and recreation centre in Camperdown Park, beside Camperdown Oval and Camperdown Commons.
Camperdown Tennis began in 2017, when we entered a private-public partnership with Inner West Council. Since taking over the site our court usage has gone from 22% to over 80%, and the centre has become a hub for recreation and wellbeing in our local community.
We offer court hire for tennis, futsal and hockey, tennis coaching through weekly group classes and private lessons, outdoor fitness programs, and a school holiday program for primary school kids. We also deliver in-school tennis classes in primary and high schools.
Our court surface and facilities have been refurbished as part of a master plan for the whole site. We have state-of-the-art LED lighting, high quality Australian-made synthetic grass surfacing by Synthetic Sports Group, wheelchair access, and a sun-safe sanctuary for hot days and play breaks.
Camperdown Tennis is part of CMNL — the group brand connecting the people, places and community across Canterbury-Hurlstone Park RSL Club and its venues. CHP RSL opened in 1947 as a place to gather and belong, and has grown from one place to many as the needs of the community have changed.

Hot Shots for five-year-olds through to adult classes graded from beginner to advanced, plus a court for whoever you want to hit with.
Run by locals
A private-public partnership with Inner West Council since 2017, in Camperdown Park, run as part of the CMNL community of venues.
Our sports
Tennis
Six outdoor hard courts under LED lighting, open from 7am. Casual hire, weekly coaching and private lessons.
Futsal
All-weather multi-marked courts for futsal and hockey hire, by the hour midweek or in three-hour blocks at the weekend. Email us to book.
