Casual Tennis Court Hire

1. Cancellation

a. You can cancel your casual booking online 6 hours or more before your booking start time. When cancelled, a credit is created and can be used to rebook another time.

b. Cancellation requests within 6 hours of booking start time are not permitted and will not be credited or refunded. We do not offer credits or refunds for change of mind, work, illness or personal circumstance within 6 hours of booking start time.

c. Casual court hire cancellations can be done via the “View My Current Bookings” option available on the Book a Court page on our website.

d. Camperdown Tennis court credits expire after three months (90 days) from the time the initial credit is granted or until such a time as Camperdown Tennis ceases trading/operating at its present location. Camperdown Tennis does not refund any unused court credits. The onus is on players to use credits within the specified time period.

e. A minimum of 7 days cancellation notice for Special event casual bookings is required for full refund. Cancellations within the 7 days period for special events will be charged 50% of the booking fee.

f. Camperdown Tennis reserves the right to cancel any casual tennis court hire booking at any time.

2. Wet Weather

a. We do not cancel for light or passing rain.

b. We will only cancel court hire bookings for medium to heavy rain if management deems the courts are unplayable and it is unsafe to play. We will endeavour to send you a text message as soon as possible when casual court hire bookings have been cancelled. If you don’t hear from us, then it is game on!

c. Our courts are synthetic grass courts and dry in 30 to 60 minutes if it is hot, humid or windy.

d. For all bookings that are affected by unplayable weather before the booking start time and have been cancelled by Camperdown Tennis, Camperdown Tennis will grant a court credit for you to rebook another time.

e. If medium to heavy rain occurs during the first half of your booked court hire time, a full credit will be issued.

f. If medium to heavy rain occurs during the second half of your booked court hire time, the booking stands and no credit will be issued.

g. No shows will not be credited or refunded.

3. Booking a Court

a. Camperdown Tennis reserves the right to:

i. Make price changes without notice.

ii. Cancel any booking at short notice. (The Centre will contact you and re-assign a different time or offer a credit).

iii. Re-assign a court other than the court which has been booked specifically online or otherwise.

b. Camperdown Tennis requires pre-payment for all Regular and Casual bookings.

c. The Centre does not take responsibility for booking conflicts. Pre-paid bookings take precedence over any booking claim. It is the client’s responsibility to provide evidence of any booking claim. Where the Centre is found to be in error, it will do its utmost to rectify the situation. However, please note that Camperdown Tennis reserves the right to cancel any booking at short notice.

d. The use of our bookings system is for individual use only & is not re-saleable.

e. External Coaches are not permitted to book courts without prior permission from Camperdown Tennis. Commercial Rates will apply.

f. Event Management Companies must apply in writing to Camperdown Tennis outlining the exact details of the event that is to be held, before any booking considerations can be made.

g. Extending your booking is not free of charge. Please book any extra time online or email us and we will send you an invoice. Additional court hire fees will be charged at the peak rate in 30 minute amounts.

h. Using an extra court or courts is not free of charge. If you use extra courts without booking online or emailing us, additional court hire fees apply. This will be charged at the peak court hire rate for the time used.

i. Camperdown Tennis offer tennis racquets and used balls free of charge. Racquets & balls are available from the black boxes next to the water fountain. Please feel free to use and place back when finished. Thanks!

j. Regular Bookings that have been granted are only done so on the condition that the client understands the booking is not an indefinite fixture and may be needed by Camperdown Tennis at any time. Camperdown Tennis bookings take precedence over any other booking.

Regular Tennis Court Hire

4. Payment

a. To secure your regular monthly booking, your monthly payment is due within 7 days of your invoice being issued.

b. Any regular bookings that remain unpaid after the 7 day payment period elapses will be cancelled for that month without notice.

5. Cancellation

a. 28 days notice for cancellation or amendments of regular bookings is required. Any regular booking cancelled or amended within 28 days weeks of their next monthly booking will still be charged the full amount for their bookings in that 28 day period, so please let us know ahead of time.

b. Group Tennis Lessons

7. Wet Weather & Cancellation

a. Group lessons are on regardless of weather forecasts. Only Camperdown Tennis can determine if a class will not proceed due to the weather conditions.

b. It is your responsibility to ensure Camperdown Tennis has all your correct contact details (mobile number and email address) so we can alert you when lessons have been cancelled by wet weather.

c. We do not cancel for light or passing rain.

d. We will only cancel group tennis lessons for medium to heavy rain if management deems the courts are unplayable and it is unsafe to play.

e. We will endeavour to send you a text message as soon as possible when group tennis lessons have been cancelled. If you don’t hear from us, then it is game on!

f. If medium to heavy rain occurs during the lesson in the first half of the allotted time, then the lesson will be credited or made up.

g. If medium to heavy rain occurs during the lesson in the second half of the allotted time, the lesson will count as a full lesson and not be credited or made up.

h. No shows will not be credited or refunded. We do not offer credits or refunds for change of mind, work, illness, injury or personal circumstance.

i. All group lessons have 2 make-up week lessons imbedded into each program.

j. If 3 or more group tennis lessons are cancelled during the course of the 8, 9 or 10 week term program, we will offer a credit for any classes not delivered within our make up session structure at the end of the term, during the school holiday period, or a credit/refund to the customer within 2 weeks from the last class date.

For example, a 9 week program has the first 7 weeks scheduled as lessons, and the last 2 weeks are kept as reserved for wet weather make-up lessons.

If there is no rain in the first 7 weeks of lessons, then we’ll run 2 extra weeks (barring rain).

If there is rain in the first 7 weeks of lessons, they will be made up in the reserved last 2 weeks of the program.

8. Advertised Dates, Times & Coaches

a. While Camperdown Tennis classes proceed on the basis of the advertised dates, times and coaches of courses, at times these may be subject to change.

b. When this is the case, all reasonable attempts will be made to contact you via SMS.

c. Our coaching classes require a minimum number to proceed. Camperdown Tennis will send an information and confimation email to confirm your class is going ahead or being cancelled.

d. If you do not receive the information and confirmation email at least two days before the start date, it is the students' responsibility to contact Camperdown Tennis to confirm the course or competition is going ahead.

e. In the event the course is cancelled by Camperdown Tennis due to low enrolments, the course fee will be refunded to the students.

f. Whilst every effort is made to ensure the advertised coach is available for all lessons; illness, accidents and misadventure do sometimes occur and we ask for your patience and cooperation at times when a stand-in coach is required.

9. Withdrawing from your Enrolment

a. Approval to withdraw from your enrolment or competition will only be considered when Camperdown Tennis receives at least five working days' notice via email before the commencement of your class start date.

b. Please choose your class carefully as a course refund will be given only when we have received at least five working days' notice before the commencement of the first session of the course and/or competition.

c. If you provide less than five working days' notice before the first class of the term, no refund or credit will be offerred or available. Please note that we do not offer credits or refunds for change of mind, work, illness, injury or personal circumstance.

10. Transfer of Enrolment

a. You may transfer to another class provided you have given at least five working days notice via email before the commencement of the first session of the course, there are spaces available and your transfer does not disrupt the class into which you are transferring.

b. Once group tennis classes have begun, no transfer to other courses will be available. Please note we do not offer credits, refunds or transfers for change of mind, work, illness, injury or personal circumstance.

c. Enrolments in our courses are not transferrable to another person.

11. Class Information

a. Size class is at the discretion of Camperdown Tennis.

b. Payment is required at the time of enrolment to secure a place in any program.

c. Rackets, balls & court equipment are all provided.

d. Your coach will meet you on court at the lesson start time.

Private Tennis Lessons

12. Wet Weather & Cancellation

a. Private lessons are on regardless of weather forecasts. Only Camperdown Tennis can determine if a private lesson will not proceed due to the weather conditions within 24 hours of the booking start time.

b. It is your responsibility to ensure Camperdown Tennis has all your correct contact details (mobile number and email address) so we can alert you when your private lesson has been cancelled by wet weather.

c. We do not cancel for light or passing rain.

d. We will only cancel private tennis lessons for medium to heavy rain if management deems the courts are unplayable and it is unsafe to play.

e. We will endeavour to send you a text message as soon as possible when your private tennis lessons has been cancelled. If you don’t hear from us, then the lesson is on!

f. If medium to heavy rain occurs during the lesson in the first half of the allotted time, then the lesson will be credited or made up.

g. If medium to heavy rain occurs during the lesson in the second half of the allotted time, the lesson will count as a full lesson and not be credited or made up.

h. No shows will not be credited or refunded. We do not offer credits or refunds for change of mind, work, illness or personal circumstance.

i. All private lessons need to be pre-paid online at least 24 hours before your booked starting time. Failure to do so will result in your private lesson being cancelled.

j. If you wish to cancel your private lesson, you can do so 24 hours or more by emailing our Bookings Coordinator here: play@camperdowntennis.com.au – any cancellation requests made within 24 hours of your lesson start time will not be credited or refunded.

13. Making a Private Lesson Booking

a. Our private lesson bookings are month to month only.

c. After viewing current month availabilities, email your date and time choice here: play@camperdowntenis.com.au - we will reply with confirmation or an alternate suggestion, and an invoice to pay to secure your lesson date and time.

d. No private lessons are available on public holidays, or on long weekends that have a public holiday as one or more of its days.

Futsal & Hockey Court Hire Bookings

14. Wet Weather & Cancellation

a. Futsal & Hockey bookings are on regardless of weather forecasts. Only Camperdown Tennis can determine if a futsal or hockey booking will not proceed due to the weather conditions within 24 hours of the booking start time.

b. It is your responsibility to ensure Camperdown Tennis has all your correct contact details (mobile number and email address) so we can alert you when your booking has been cancelled by wet weather.

c. We do not cancel for light or passing rain.

d. We will only cancel bookings for medium to heavy rain if management deems the courts are unplayable and it is unsafe to play.

e. We will endeavour to send you a text message as soon as possible when your booking has been cancelled. If you don’t hear from us, then it is game on!

f. If medium to heavy rain occurs during your booking in the first half of the allotted time, then your booking will be credited or made up.

g. If medium to heavy rain occurs during your booking in the second half of the allotted time, then your booking counts as a full booking and will not be credited or made up.

h. No shows will not be credited or refunded. We do not offer credits or refunds for change of mind, work, illness or personal circumstance.

i. All bookings need to be pre-paid online at least 24 hours before your booked starting time. Failure to do so will result in your booking being cancelled.

j. If you wish to cancel your booking, you can do so 24 hours or more by emailing our Bookings Coordinator here: play@camperdowntennis.com.au – any cancellation requests made within 24 hours of your booking start time will not be credited or refunded.

15. Making a Futsal or Hockey Booking

a. Our futsal and hockey bookings are month to month only and need to be requested via email at least 24 hours before yur requested time.

b. Email your date and time choice here: play@camperdowntenis.com.au - we will reply with confirmation or an alternate suggestion, and an invoice to pay to secure your lesson date and time.

c. Booking requests for futsal or hockey on Fridays, Saturday or Sundays are a minimum of 3 hours per booking.

d. Available start times for Futsal and Hockey:

i. Monday: 7am to 6pm.

ii. Tuesday to Thursday: 7am to 5:30pm.

iii. Friday to Sunday: Any available time. Minimum 3 hour bookings. 7am to 10pm.

iv. Public Holidays: Not available.

16. Event Bookings

a. Event bookings are on regardless of weather forecasts. Only Camperdown Tennis can determine if an Event booking will not proceed due to the weather conditions within 24 hours of the booking start time.

b. We do not cancel for light or passing rain. Our futsal courts are all weather courts and can be played in the rain.

c. We will only cancel bookings for medium to heavy rain if management deems the courts are unplayable and it is unsafe to play.

d. We will endeavour to send you a text message as soon as possible when your booking has been cancelled. If you don’t hear from us, then it is game on!

e. If medium to heavy rain occurs during your booking in the first half of the allotted time, then your booking will be credited or made up.

f. If medium to heavy rain occurs during your booking in the second half of the allotted time, then your booking counts as a full booking and will not be credited or made up.

g. No shows will not be credited or refunded. We do not offer credits or refunds for change of mind, work, illness or personal circumstance within 24 hours of booking start time.

i. If you wish to cancel your booking without incurring a full forfeiture of fees, you can do so 24 hours or more before your booking start time, by emailing: play@camperdowntennis.com.au – any cancellation requests made within 24 hours of your booking start time will not be credited or refunded.

Camperdown Tennis Terms and Conditions – General*

17. Cleanliness of our centre

a. No eating on the courts. Please take your rubbish off the courts.

b. Please use bins provided (all off court) for the disposal of rubbish.

c. Please leave the courts clean and tidy for the next players to use and enjoy.

d. Camperdown Tennis is strictly a non-smoking facility. This includes cigarettes, cigars, vaping and any other type of smoking apparatus. This is a sports centre designed to promote health and well being, please take your smoking habit away from our community sports centre – please do not smoke here!!

e. Whilst we are dog friendly, no animals are allowed on our courts at any time. Please tie your dog up in the middle common area whilst you play on court.

18. Respecting our neighbours

a. There are residential dwellings nearby.

b. We respect the amenity of our nearby residents and we ask the same of our players.

c. Any inappropriate behaviour reported to the Camperdown Tennis team will lead to forfeiture of the use of the court(s).

d. The emergency exit is only to be used for emergencies! The emergency exit is shared with Chrissie Cotter Galley, a seperate council operated business – please respect our neighbours at Chrissie Cotter Galley and our neighbours who live on Pidcock Street, Camperdown.

19. Parking

a. There is a free 2 hour council car park adjacent to Camperdown Commons and Camperdown Park.

b. We are not responsible for council car parking area.

c. Street parking is available on Mallett Street and Australia Street.

d. No parking is provided by Camperdown Tennis in conjunction with any class or court hire.

20. PIN code Access

a. Our centre has security monitoring , including CCTV.

b. Any unauthorised access will be reported to police.

c. Access to our centre is via a 6 character PIN in the form of *XXXX# where X is a numerical number. Your personal booking code always remains the same.

d. Access is only granted up to 10 minutes before your booking start time, and 10 minutes after your booking finishes.

e. Your PIN code can be found by logging into your account using the web address stated below:
